Drawn from vines planted in 1938 in sandy soils strewn with stones covered in calcium carbonate, the 2021 Malbec Temis is the lightest on its feet of the Alta Vista single-vineyard Malbces. The 2021 Malbec Albaneve is the most lush and seductive of Alta Vista’s single-vineyard offerings, hailing from north-facing parcels planted in 1999 on deep colluvial soils. It opens with a beautifully lifted nose of red and black fruits, resinous herbs, lavender and a distinctly inky quality in the background that lends a sense of heft to its otherwise ethereal nature. The mouthfeel continues with luscious fruit flavors rendered with a liveliness that persists through the long, resonant finish.
A blend of fruit from the Albaneve and Temis sites, the 2024 Terroir Selection Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a fresh, lifted bouquet redolent of dried herbs and menthol that provides energy to an otherwise red-fruited backdrop. The mouthfeel exudes the refined, detailed profile that permeates the Alta Vista portfolio, culminating in a lifted, discreetly structured finish.
A blend of 60% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, the 2024 Atemporal continues the range’s combination of svelte richness delivered with elegance and grace that transcend its price point. It has a poised bouquet of red and black fruits with floral overtones and a polished and supple mouthfeel, closing with a layered finish framed by vibrant acidity and refined tannins.
Produced from vines spanning Luján du Cuyo and Uco Valley, the 2025 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is fresh, minty and herbal on the nose, followed by the suave, classy mouthfeel found across the Alta Vista portfolio. The finish balances a contained sense of richness with gravelly tannins.
