Originating from terroir in the southern sector of the appellation, this area is distinguished by unique "blue" marls and deep soils. The resulting wines tend to be solidly structured, muscular and tannic. Pinot Noir here is hand harvested, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged for 18 months in oak. These wines will age to good effect for many years.

Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage.
Tasting Note
Initially dense and earthy, with aromas of mossy forest floor and dark fruits.Tannins are dense yet fine making this a perfect pair to various forms of protein. Over time the powerful framework becomes more round and generous yielding more subtle spice and floral notes.
