Les Clos is the best-known and largest (at 27 hectares) of the Chablis Grand Cru vineyards. This site benefits from ideal exposition to the south-southwest and a gradual slope from the forested crest to the river Serein below. Vineyard cultivation here was recorded as early as 1267. The wine is carefully matured in large oak barrels to preserve the powerful structure.

Harvest Note
Winter and early Spring were unusually warm and dry however March brought much-needed rainfall which led to homogenous flowering in May. Stormy weather in June was followed by mild late summer, and an unusual September heat wave. Harvest was finished on September 16th, and by picking only in the cool morning hours freshness was preserved.
Tasting Note
This is a full bodied and powerful, complex white wine which balances freshness and vigor with a deep richness. Characterized by intense stony aromas as well as lime zest and honey, these wines are often best with several years of aging, and will easily last for 10 - 15 years in the cellar.
