The property’s 151 acres are spread over clay-limestone soils that dominate the gentle hills of this property. The entire vineyard is dry farmed. With a base of red wine (Principal) and our use of gravity flow winemaking, we are able to produce a red wine that reflects the nature of the limestone-rich soils: with its expressive fruit, vibrant acidity, minerality and rich texture.

Harvest Note
An excellent year with perfect maturation for the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Touriga Nacional, combining ripeness and balanced acidity. The Merlot was powerful and rich due to reduced yields, which brought even more concentration and deepness to the final blend.
Tasting Note
Deep ruby color with opaque center. Aromas of blackberry and ripe gooseberry preserves, with notes of toast. Full-bodied and creamy, with round, mature tannins. Very juicy with a long and mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Slow roasted leg of lamb. The fattiness of the meat, with the vibrant acidity of the wine and fresh, polished fruit would be a perfect accompaniment. A beautiful, seared steak or even a rich meat stew, like a beef bourginon.
