The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. Les Guettes is located in the middle of the commune on gravely, stony chalk soil. It faces south–southeast at 220 meters to 360 meters in altitude. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to one month, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for 12 to 15 months before bottling.
The wine has medium-deep color and powerful aromas and flavors of black currant and cherry. This feminine, supple, finely structured wine will develop in the bottle for 7 to 10 years.
