With roots dating back to the 19th century, the estate has played a meaningful role in demonstrating the Douro’s potential for high-quality still wines since the early 1990s. Today, its vineyards span multiple family-owned estates farmed with sustainable practices and deep respect for the land.

Located in the esteemed Cima Corgo sub-region, the vineyards stretch across dramatic schist slopes at elevations ranging from approximately 190 to 600 meters. This variation in altitude, exposure, and microclimate allows for precise grape selection and contributes depth, balance, and complexity to the wines.

The holdings are planted primarily to indigenous Portuguese varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. The region’s schist soils encourage deep root systems and naturally regulate vine vigor, resulting in wines defined by structure, freshness, minerality, and longevity.
