Les Charmes is among the largest and most well-know Meursault Premier Crus, stretching across the lower slope toward the border with Puligny. Soils are fairly deep with full Southeast exposure, producing powerfull wines with a broad texture and complex long finish. Chardonnay is harvested by hand and brought to the winery in Beaune for triage, destemming, and initial fermentation and transfer to oak casks. Malolactic fermentation is managed according to the nature of the vintage to retain freshness and vibrancy.

2023 vintage
Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage.
Tasting Note
Powerful and opulent, this dry white presents aromas of toasted hazelnut, lemon confit and ripe pear. This is a full-bodied white yet with an inviting supple approach and great length.
