The plush palate opens with a burst of dark fruit—plum, dried fig and date, black cherry—leading into hints of espresso and vanilla. Clove and cinnamon bark warm the long, tingly finish. Consider as a dessert sipper.

Cinnamon, cardamom and a hint of red fruit create a lightly spiced aroma. The palate echoes the sweetness and spice, framed by red fruit, plum and plum skin, and blackcurrant, finishing slightly sticky with a hint of espresso. Faint menthol refreshes the exhale. A good workhorse for cocktail mixing.

Fruity and floral on the nose, the citrus arrives in candied form, with just a light hint of the locally sourced ingredients as well as juniper. The palate and finish have a beautiful presence, thanks to its 48 percent ABV bottling strength.
