The 2015 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle is already quite expressive, wafting from the glass with a lavish bouquet of poached pear, vanilla bean, yellow stone fruit and toasted nuts—very similar to its showing from barrel. On the palate, the wine is textural, full-bodied and rich, with notable chewy extract, impressive mid-palate presence, and ripe acids.
