The 2017 Rosso Falerno del Massico lifts up with an intense wave of black raspberries, cloves, rosemary and hints of camphor. This fills the palate with soft, fleshy textures and ripe red berries, contrasted by saline-mineral tones and nuanced tannins. It tapers off long and lightly structured under an air of purple-tinged florals. This is, yet again, another beautiful vintage of Falerno del Massico Rosso from Villa Matilde, which is composed primarily of Aglianico with just a dollop of Piedirosso.
