Louis Jadot Côte d'Or Burgundies Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2019
April 10, 2021 91-94 Points

In contrast to the usual brooding nose this wine displays, it's surprisingly expressive, indeed even perfumed with its array of essence of red berries, earth and pretty floral suggestions. There is a lovely texture to the otherwise concentrated and powerful full-bodied flavors that also coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also helps partially buffer the very firm tannic spine shaping the austere, grippy and compact finale.
