Tenuta di Biserno Biserno 2016
October 01, 2020 97 Points Wine & Spirits

The Tuscan coast’s long, moderate growing season and cool August evenings in 2016 endowed this wine with lifted floral aromas, and flavors of juicy plum and black currant. Taut tannins dovetail with lively acidity as notes of white mushroom and fresh tobacco emerge. Dominated by merlot, with smaller portions of cabernet franc, petit verdot and cabernet sauvignon, the blend feels harmonious and integrated, precise and balanced through its lush, spicy finish, yet the wine’s firm structure and freshness promise a long life ahead.
