Gorgeous nose of fresh pineapples, nectarines, peaches, cloves, apple crumble and custard. Hints of brown sugar. Full-bodied and full of flavor, with lovely phenolic tension and ripe, juicy stone fruit. Long and delicious.
Hyland Vineyard has some of Oregon’s oldest vines, though it is not known if any of the original plantings are part of this wine. It’s tight and almost steely, with compact green herb, apple and earth flavors. A thin vein of iron ore can be detected.
Sleek and handsome, this white is distinctive for its lively lemon verbena and nectarine notes that offer a subtle and appealing saline undertone.
Lots of sliced-apple, lemon-rind with some flint aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a clean, vivid finish. Light floral undertones.
Brilliant straw-yellow. Vibrant citrus and orchard fruit, floral and smoky mineral scents show fine definition and pick up a hint of toasty lees with air. Juicy and penetrating in the mouth, offering concentrated Meyer lemon, pear and fennel flavors and a touch of honeysuckle. Shows impressive energy and solid thrust on a long, gently chewy finish that strongly repeats the floral note.
