Blackberry compote, black cherry jam and loads of savory spice leap out of the glass of this forward and giving Lambrusco. Herbs mixed with wild-berry pie filling fill the palate, finishing with a dried violet note. It is almost as if you are eating the grapes themselves.

of chalk dust. This soothes with its gentle bead of fine bubbles while contrasting ripe, wild berry fruits with brisk acids to create a truly harmonious expression. It leaves the palate classically dry yet fresh, tapering off with medium length. You can enjoy Le Tenute Solo with or without food. This is very nicely done.

The black-ish nonvintage Medici Ermete I Quercioli Secco Reggiano Lambrusco is a blend of equal parts salamino and marani grapes. Its pungent peppery, black tea and blackberry aromas and flavors are carried on a stream of brisk acidity, leaving no sensation of its 14 grams of sugar.

Bright ruby red in color, the wine has a distinct violet scent. Dry yet fruity with fresh, pleasantly harmonious flavors and a lively effervescence.
