A similar if slightly spicier plum-suffused nose precedes exceptionally rich, even opulent, medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also serves to buffer the moderately firm tannins shaping the slightly more vibrant and better balanced finale.
The 2015 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Narbantons has a very appealing, pure bouquet with ripe redcurrant and cranberry fruit, demonstrating more cohesion and vigor than the Santenays by comparison.
