Silky and leaning toward off-dry, this elegant Gewürz offers classic lychee, spice, ripe apple and floral notes, with a hint of green melon and refined acidity throughout. Minerally finish.

By rights, the Herrenweg vineyard in Turckheim should be a Grand Cru. Certainly in the hands of Zind-Humbrecht it behaves like one. This is a powerful, rich and totally spicy wine. It has weight and pepper in abundance, a complex wine that’s full of ripe fruits and an opulent aftertaste.

Compact, with firm cut, this offers tightly meshed flavors of white peach, beeswax, pickled ginger and crystallized honey, with a stony mineral undertow that pushes through on the finish.

Strikingly Muscat Ottonel-like dried apricot and marjoram scent the Zind-Humbrecht 2010 Gewurztraminer Herrenweg de Turckheim, though rose petal and lychee are present as well, all anticipating the flavors on a lush, unabashedly sweet palate, where hints of black tea and black pepper serve for welcome counterpoint in a lingering and largely soothing finish.
