The deliciously flinty smoke of reduction shoots across the nose of this wine before mellower hints of creaminess, lemon and ripe pear appear. The palate unites the concentrated freshness of ripe lemon with the smoky, rounded mellowness of pear, creating a vivid and moreish contrast. It has a wonderfully dry finish.

Bright yellow. Clean aromas of lemon, resin, honey and pear. Supple and fruity, offering broad but bright flavors of fresh citrus, apple pie and minerals, along with a chewy saline quality. Fairly large-scale, but stylish and juicy. Finishes nicely sweet but balanced, with very good lift.

This bright, tangy Pinot Gris shows ground spice, herb and smoke aromatics, with flavors of white peach and candied pink grapefruit zest. Medium-bodied and finely knit, offering a lasting finish of chalky mineral and spice.

I love the oyster shell notes. Quite rich and full-bodied but also clean and dry. The finale is a mineral masterpiece.

A touch of funkiness hovers over fresh pear notes. The palate then offers fresh-faced, tart and ripe pear notes, etched with citrus freshness for extra precision and purity. This is so inviting and disarming, it is a joy to savor. Despite the generously ripe fruit, a coolness runs through this, anchoring the flavors in freshness and drive.
