From an average of 25-year-old vines grown on the gravelly soils around the winery, the 2016 Pinot Gris Turckheim displays a white-golden color with a slightly reddish hue. Clear and aromatic on the nose, this is a round, elegant, intensely fruity and well-balanced yet well-structured white with a long, intense finish with good mineral and phenolic freshness. The 2016 reveals nice salinity and is a good mix of fruit and gravel expression that ended up with 12.6% alcohol and 1.3 grams per liter of residual sugar.

Earth, white currant and dried pear notes make for an intriguing nose. A touch of flint creates a smoky edge that carries onto the dry, concentrated palate where pear and currant are joined by bright, tart lemon. The finish is superclean, lip-smacking and dry.

Pale straw. A very aromatic nose of uncommon complexity offers spices, toffee and baked apple. Then lighter than the rich nose suggests, delivering fresh apple and pear flavors complemented by sweet spices. Long, clean and very fresh, this is almost – dare I say it – Pinot Grigio-like.

Sourced from vines aged between 25 and 30 years old, this is a graceful yet forward wine with expressive aromas of ripe apricot and pear with a floral lift. The palate is concentrated but focused with mineral energy and vivid acidity. This is a dry style with serious structure and an impressive length.

A well-cut Pinot Gris that offers a satiny texture and flavors of yellow plum, fresh tarragon and candied grapefruit zest. Hints of smoke and honeycomb play on the fresh finish.
