A line of fresh red cherry introduces this elegant red, along with hints of sandalwood, underbrush and oak spice. Balanced and firmly structured, with fine length.

Here is an ideal introduction to the red wines of the 2019 vintage in Burgundy. Very charming nose of cherries that leads into the ripe and round palate. But this is also structured, thanks to the moderately dry tannins, which provide backbone and also, together with the acidity, freshness.

The 2018 Santenay Clos de Malte (Domaine Louis Jadot) confirms its fine showing a year ago, bursting with aromas of cherries and berries mingled with hints of spice and dried petals. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with an enveloping core of fruit, beautifully refined tannins and lively acids.

A broad, dense style, this red reveals plum and cherry framed in charred oak. It tips toward the oak now, but there is ample fruit underneath.

A bright, lemony white with lemon-curd and light yogurt character. It’s medium-bodied with a medium round palate and lovely fruit.
