Ripe, generous and velvety with lively acidity, this is an impressive Volnay that retains the light-footedness of this appellation, in spite of the extreme vintage. Stacks of fine tannins and this side of the wine builds at the highly structured finish. Excellent freshness. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

Lovely black-cherry nose with some rooty nuances. Generous body with plenty of fruit wrapped around the solid core of moderately dry tannin. Bold and crisp finish.

A notably ripe yet still quite fresh nose mixes notes of red and blue pinot fruit with those of earth, spice and anise. Here too the medium weight flavors possess an attractive texture on the robust and powerful finish.

Bursting with aromas of plums, candied peel, spices and toasty new oak. Medium-bodied and chalky.
