A sleek, mineral-driven white, underlined by brisk acidity and flavors of apple, vanilla and bread dough.
One of the finest values in the range is the 2019 Ladoix Le Clou d’Orge (Domaine Gagey), a bright and chiseled wine that evokes pear, waxy citrus peel, struck match and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, layered and incisive, it concludes with a saline, mouthwatering finish.
The 2017 Ladoix Clos d’Orge Blanc has an appealing, harmonious bouquet of citrus fruit with touches of crushed granite and later, flecks of orange peel. The palate is well balanced, with quite a rich but controlled entry. This Ladoix feels as if it contains a lot of nascent energy, a touch of lemongrass and ginger emerging toward a finish that offers good persistence. Don’t overlook this fine white Ladoix from Jadot.
The bouquet is very pretty and quite floral in profile, delivering scents of apple, pear, a load of spring flowers, chalky soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and quite vibrant in personality, with a good core, a wide open profile and very good length and grip on the zesty finish. This is an excellent village wine and will be a superb value.
Very clear and bright with stone and floral character. Medium body, tangy and citrusy acidity and a long and flavorful finish. Very beautiful.
