Discreet but not imperceptible wood frames the overtly spicy aromas of plum and black cherry. The medium-bodied flavors are not quite as dense but they’re markedly finer with good power and depth on the much better-balanced and lengthier finale. This is lovely.
Bright cherry, strawberry, earth and woodsy underbrush flavors combine in this beefy red. It’s well-balanced and firms up on the chunky finish.
A resonant, red-berry transparency develops in this wine as the initial funk blows off revealing an airy red-plum and strawberry essence buoyed in the end by the lasting delicacy of tannins. Those tannins have the savor of bitter melon, placing the wine with Cantonese preparations of seafood or beef.
Ethereal rose scents open into substantially darker cherry flavors that integrate into the mineral notes with air, adding a sweet fruit edge to the gracious tannins. Enticing and complex.
There is fine volume to the succulent and seductively textured flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that buffer the firm but finer tannins shaping the impressively long finish.
