The aromas are spellbinding with crushed blackberries, fresh flowers, oyster shell and black olives. Hints of smoky oak. Full-bodied with very fine tannins that are extremely layered. It’s powerful and very intense. Extremely long and flavorful.
Aromas of spice, vanilla and wood are stronger than this wine’s fruit scents. Pure and lush on the palate, this is showing fine balance. Flavors of baking spices, caramel, vanilla and black fruits finish mildly and subtly, with mocha notes and good length.
There are salty sensations of cured meat and ripe black fruit, very balsamic, with notes of cigar ash and spices, quite influenced by the élevage. The palate is full-bodied with abundant, grainy tannins that are still at the forefront.
Muscular and ripe, with dense flavors of dried beef, roasted plum and cherry tart. Black olive details show on the finish, accented by baker’s chocolate notes.
A more full-throttle style with plum, coffee, hints of wood and spices. Full body, juicy and rich.
