The Michele Chiarlo 2020 Barbaresco Faset delivers a pretty ensemble of wild berry or raspberry aromas with rose, lavender bud, light cinnamon stick and licorice root. These various elements are well integrated and balanced, showing smoothly over a polished, mid-weight mouthfeel.

Very attractive with dried cherries and raspberries as well as dried roses, nut shell and spice box. Medium-bodied. Vivid and dynamic palate with compact tannins that are velvety in texture. Lengthy and focused with an attractive fruit character.

A dense, muscular and brooding style, this Barbaresco has sufficient ripe cherry, strawberry and currant fruit to match the beefy tannins. Delivers graphite, tobacco and a hint of eucalyptus, which add depth as this turns compact on the finish.
