This Barbie Doll light pink wine from the Veneto offers an enticingly fresh bouquet of raspberry, watermelon and citrus that’s mirrored on the palate. Intensely flavored and very fruity with a long finish, it’s a lovely, low alcohol sipper.

Here I find a wonderfully sweet yet fresh expression, showing ripe yellow apple and melon with hints of white smoke. On the palate, soft textures give way to a mix of ripe strawberry and cherry with sweet inner floral tones. A tug of zesty citrus and saline-minerality defines the finish, as the 2019 Caposaldo Rosato slowly tapers off.
