The 2012 Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Vendange Tardive is magnificent. Rich, layered and also light on its feet, the 2012 is a magical wine. The flavors are deep and yet the wine remains so gracious, so classy. Orange confit, mint, honey and dried flowers all open up in the glass. The balance of flavor intensity and elegance is off the charts. The 2012 is a truly special wine.

In this wine, notions of honeyed, baked pear with clove are tender at first but becomes full-blown on the concentrated palate. The honeyed edge and distinct sweetness are countered by concentrated freshness, creating a sweet late-harvest wine of precision, purity and poise. Sweetness enhances the touches of pear, spice and honey, leaving lasting traces.
