The 2021 Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl has a flicker of reduction and shows off subtle russet pear, ripe and gentle. The palate has a pear peel texture and seems almost austere with its bone-dryness. A lemon touch makes the mouth water and becomes more intense towards the dry finish, which holds some gingerbread spice, ginger and cinnamon. Gorgeous and different.
A rich and vibrant pinot gris that manages to also be light, delicate and graceful. Very deep and cool finish that pulls you down into dark ocean waters where you encounter the mystery of this great wine.
A zesty Pinot Gris, with a lively mix of star fruit, Mandarin orange peel, anise, melon ball and a salty underpinning. It’s sleek and well-knit, with a lasting finish, fresh and floral.
This smells of the ripest melon you can imagine. Fresh herbal notes, including a touch of mint. Super-elegant and bright with a very sensual, silky texture on the generous palate. The stunning concentration masks the high acidity that drives the very long and chalky finish. With this much vitality it surely has enormous aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
A pure note of fresh, ripe yellow peach is layered with rich hints of toasted almond, biscuit and ginger-infused pastry cream in this seamless, medium- to full-bodied white. Firm acidity makes a fine spine for the expressive flavor profile, with mineally chalk and smoke notes emerging to drive the long, fresh finish.
