Bursting with notes of pear, citrus oil, white flowers and toasted nuts, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Garenne (Maison Louis Jadot) is medium-bodied, ample and open-knit, with lively acids and a pretty core of fruit.
The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne Premier Cru has a delineated bouquet of apple blossom, white peach and light flinty aromas. The palate is well balanced with a suppleness on the entry. Fine flinty notes, and quite spicy toward the end. This is a very well crafted La Garenne with a lovely saline finish.
Top notes of citrus rind and spice add elegance to the green fruit, white flower and soft petrol-scented nose. There is again good richness and verve to the utterly delicious and more mineral-inflected flavors that also terminate in a dry and clean finish.
The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Garenne (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up aromas of fresh pear, yellow orchard fruit, white flowers and toasted almonds. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, lively and incisive, with a delicately fleshy profile and a mineral finish.
