Hints of wood toast and petrol add breadth to the ripe, elegant and admirably pure nose of citrus confit, jasmine tea, acacia, lavender and assorted white orchard fruit. There is excellent richness to the full-bodied and opulent but focused big-bodied and imposingly powerful flavors that also possess plenty of dry extract while exhibiting huge length on the compact finale.
Moderate golden color. A ripe and wonderfully complex nose features notes of peach, poached pear, spice, acacia and exotic tea. There is fine richness and volume to the solidly concentrated and overtly powerful big-bodied flavors that possess a plush and sappy mouth feel before concluding in an equally complex, lingering and expansive finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate.
Aromas of buttered toast, honeyed peaches, white flowers and mint introduce the 2019 Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot), a full-bodied, layered and enveloping wine that’s satiny and sumptuous, with lively acids and fine depth at the core.
The palate is well balanced with a tang of marmalade enlivening the opening. Very good weight and persistence, as you would demand from a “Monty”.
A broad, creamy style, with bright, balancing acidity. The fluid profile is woven with peach, lime blossom, lemon and baking spice flavors. Remains fresh and mouthwatering on the long, spice-tinged finish.
