Elegant mix of red and blue pinot fruit, violet and softly spiced tea nuances. The notably finer medium-bodied flavors flash more evident minerality on the well-delineated and firmer finish.

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet of red currant, cranberry and pomegranate scents, a subtle marine note emerging with aeration. This feels very cohesive. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy-textured opening, good depth and plenty of charm. A very concentrated Gevrey, although it retains control and freshness all the way through.

A fresh and notably ripe nose combines strong wood/menthol influence with toasty plum liqueur and earth scents. The finer and stonier medium-bodied flavors possess excellent delineation on the attractively textured, rich and energetic finish.

Bright medium red. Alluring lift to the aromas of cherry, raspberry, minerals and rose petal. A supple, savory wine with lovely inner-mouth energy and floral lift to its juicy red raspberry and spice flavors. Delicate, delineated and light on its feet but with no shortage of intensity. Finishes juicy and persistent, with fine-grained tannins and excellent lift. A very refined version of Petite Chapelle.

The 2016 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru la Petite Chapelle has a floral, well-defined bouquet with perfumed red cherry and strawberry fruit, crushed rose petals and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite cohesive and focused with a fine bead of acidity.
