Ripe nectarines, mangoes, buttercups and lemon curd on the nose with a hint of salty lassi. It’s medium-to full-bodied with tangy acidity and an oily texture. Flavorful finish.

The Campo al Mare 2019 Bolgheri Vermentino is packaged in a bright and luminous bottle that is inviting and cheerful. This is a simple but pleasantly fragrant expression that delivers citrus, honeydew melon, dried sage and crushed oyster shell. The mouthfeel is slender and fresh, making this a classic and easygoing white from the Tuscan Coast.

The 2019 Vermentino is a very pretty and expressive coastal white. Citrus and flowers and a good bit of varietal character all come through nicely, but what impresses me most is the wine’s energy and persistence. This is very nicely done.
