Caramel and butterscotch with some figs and dried fruit. Medium-bodied with a very fine texture that turns creamy. The finish shows milk chocolate, nuts and fruit. Medium sweet. Pecan pie.

This midnight purple colored Vintage Port opens with a faint dried cigar leaf and gentle cherry bouquet with hints of plum, date, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is balanced and full bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is red currant, graphite, and raisin blend with hints of clove, tar, and black tea.

A bright, ruddy tawny, with an olive rim. Vigorous on both the nose and palate, with a classy Cognac-like spirit character and lifted drive. Well-structured, with a walnut, green (tomato plant) and black cardamom edge to its tightly focused fruit notes of dried apricot and fig, along with hints of salted caramel. The penetrating, back-of-the-net finish is very precise, lingering and in the Taylor’s house style.

This is extremely refined, with a sleek-edged mix of green tea, date, white ginger, toasted sesame, bitter almond and bitter orange notes curling through, laced with flashes of salted caramel, singed alder and sandalwood. There's a dry, nervy spine through the finish, encased in a more flattering glycerol feel that adds amazing length, leaving echoes of all the elements in its wake. A special wine.

One of the original Late Bottled Vintage brands, this continues to set a fine style. This latest release is full of black fruits that have been softened by extra wood aging. At the same time, the richness of the wine shows strongly and emphatically, giving a Port that has density and ready drinkability.
