This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored Gamay opens with a blackberry and plum bouquet with a hint of pomegranate and potting soil. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tart cherry and mild blackberry blend with notes of pomegranate and cranberry. I also detected hints of red licorice. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins linger nicely.
