Mahâris, which takes its name from the watch towers that the early inhabitants used to search the sea coast, is the wine that symbolizes the meeting of diverse styles and cultures. It brings together all the favorable complexities of the international varietal Syrah with Sicily’s par excellence growing Mediterranean microclimate.

Harvest Note
After a Spring slightly ahead of the average season, there was little precipitation throughout the growing phase. This reduced vegetation and provided less then generous quantities. Towards the end of the season, scattered rain showers elevated the plants from the long dry phase, allowing for a full and complete maturation in terms of phenolic and technological. While yields might have low, quality did not suffer.
Tasting Note
Intense ruby red colour with light scarlet hues. The wine initially presents with a bouquet of fresh berries such as blackberries and black currants, which then leaves space for spiced nuances of black pepper and liquorice. In the mouth, the wine is soft, revealing perfectly balanced tannins. Fresh and balanced with a persistent and pleasantly fruity finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with fine meats, game and braised red meats.
