Bollini Merlot comes from Trentino, where the clay soils in the cool, dry highland vineyards are ideally suited to producing clean, elegant and aromatic wines of great charm. Hand harvested grapes were destemmed and crushed, and vinification was carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 to 15 months in large oak casks.

2017 vintage
Harvest Note
The 2017 season started with beautiful, seasonal weather. The second half of April saw a sudden drop in temperature, causing a very small amount of damage to the vines. In May, optimal weather conditions favored the recovery of the vineyards allowing for blooming between the end of the month and the first week of June. Harvest of the grapes began on the 22nd of August, showing excellent sugar strength and acidity that resulted in a quality harvest.
Tasting Note
The lively, deep color preludes an especially fragrant bouquet of black cherries, spices, berries and tobacco; on the plate, medium body, crisp freshness yet silky texture sustained by well-integrated tannins, lush fruit, subtle earthy and herbal notes, excellent balance and a long finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs wonderfully with red meat and hearty first courses. Very easy to drink and food friendly.
