The Beaune vineyards are the most extensive of the Côte de Beaune, with a high number of Premiers Crus (36) due to the ideal incline of the majority of these vineyards. Les Chouacheux comes from the old French meaning “where willows are planted.” The Pinot Noir grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats for up to one month to extract color, tannins and aromas, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for about 18 months.
With a beautiful ruby hue, this wine is medium-bodied, with red cherry and spice aromas and flavors. It will mature favorably for 12 to 15 years in the bottle.
