An approachable and young wine that expresses the tipicity of Sangiovese from Montalcino. A brilliant red for an easy Italian way of life. Fresh, pure and clean on the palate with a pleasant fruitiness. We are producing this wine with grapes from various vineyards located in Montalcino with North-West and South-East exposure at approximately 300 m. a.s.l. and composed of marl and marly-sandy formations.Vines are planted using training system of spurred cordon with 5,200 plants per hectar. After maceration the wine is matured in new and used casks of various size for 6 months followed by bottle aging

harvest note

The 2015 vintage stood out among recent vintages for its abundant winter and spring rainfall, which defined the wine-growing season. Spring gave way to the vegetative stage in late May. Rainfall led in to a very warm July and August, with periodic drops in temperature. Finally in September, moderate temperatures allowed for a recovery and the harvest began in the second half of the month.

tasting note

Intense ruby red colour. Neat at the nose, it is characterised by ripe fruity notes, enriched by spices hints at the palate it is smooth, full and warm, with present but integrated tannins. Good persistence.

food pairing

Pair with red meats or hearty pasta dishes.
