Wine Spectator2015 vintage
The 2015 vintage stood out among recent vintages for its abundant winter and spring rainfall, which defined the wine-growing season. Spring gave way to the vegetative stage in late May. Rainfall led in to a very warm July and August, with periodic drops in temperature. Finally in September, moderate temperatures allowed for a recovery and the harvest began in the second half of the month.
Intense ruby red colour. Neat at the nose, it is characterised by ripe fruity notes, enriched by spices hints at the palate it is smooth, full and warm, with present but integrated tannins. Good persistence.
Pair with red meats or hearty pasta dishes.
