Grapes: 100% Pinot Grigio
The gravelly, sandy subsoil of Friuli forces the roots of the vine to grow deep into the earth, resulting in richer fruit. Select grapes of optimum ripeness were gently pressed immediately after harvest and underwent a 15-day cold-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Neither malolactic fermentation nor oak was used.

The season began with a rainy winter and the persistence of low temperatures until the end of March, delaying the early budding of the past years. During the month of April, thanks to increasing temperatures, budding was simply exceptional. In June and July, the area saw heavy rains, alternating with sunny and dry days of optimal temperatures. Thanks to this excellent climatic performance, the maturation of the grapes was wonderful. The harvest of the grapes began on August 21st. The perfect health and sugar concentrations have simplified the vinification process. The wines are very expressive on both the nose and palate. To conclude, the 2018 will be remembered as a very good vintage.
Persistent, excellent body and correct balance.
This is the classic fish wine; excellent with risotto and vegetable soups; also pairs well with light white meats and sweet cheeses.
