Shades of Rose is an affordable luxury for everyday celebrations, crafted with grapes from Germany’s über-prestigious Mosel region. The top-quality Mosel vineyards where our grapes are grown feature slate and stone soil, typical for the area. The unique soil imparts the distinctive mineral notes, for which the Mosel is so famous.
The wines from this region are generally lighter in alcohol and easy to drink, fresh, fruity and lightly sweet. Shades of Rose is composed of 60% Riesling grapes and 40% Pinot Noir, which is known in Germany as Spätburgunder. The growing season in the Mosel is long. Harvest takes place in late fall, ensuring the grapes have a long time to reach optimal ripeness. After harvest, the Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes are fermented separately in temperature controlled tanks, which preserves the delicate fruit. Following fermentation this unique blend of wines are expertly blended, balancing perfectly the intense fruit notes of the Riesling and the delicate color and acidity of the Pinot Noir.
Shades of Rose is ready to drink when young. Before opening, please chill to ensure optimal enjoyment.
