The warmth of the vintage comes through in the wine’s notes of blueberry pie and raspberry coulis, but there’s nothing dried or dimpled about them; it tastes instead, as if the vines were refreshed by the rain that came in early July, and their deep roots survived on that moisture for the rest of the season. A sturdy vintage, with notes of black-raspberry seeds, tobacco and ginger adding complexity to the structure, this has a long life ahead
