It offers few traces of muscat’s perfume, nothing about its varietal aggression, focused on subterranean life rather than the immediacy of sunlight. That’s not to say it lacks fruit, as it rises to high notes of apricot and litchi above a creamy texture. Structured, tense and beautifully vinous, this is a white to serve with white asparagus in a cream sauce.
