harvest note

Spring and Summer of 2013 were particularly warm, reaching record levels of temperature. The grapes were fully ripe around the third week of September as picking started on September 16th and 17th. Picking finished around September 27th, which was just before a heavy rainstorm blew in from the Pacific. Vinification went extremely well, and the extraction of the Pinot Noir was near perfect.

tasting note

Nice ruby red color, spices well supported by a nice and subtle “boise” with well-structured tannins and minerality. Still very young, the wine exhibits excellent ageing potential, it will only get better with age.

food pairing

Pairs well with grilled or roasted red meats, game, and poultry.
