harvest note

The summer of 2014 was a particularly rainy one in Piedmont, where careful, professional management of the vineyard made the difference as far as quality was concerned. Leaf pulling and thinning out were done to improve airflow around the limited quantity of bunches left on the vine. The Barbaresco zone was spared many of the summer storms, with rainfall as much as 6 inches less than other areas of Piedmont. From the beginning of August until harvest time, which took place in the customary period, the weather was dry and sunny, providing perfect ripening conditions for the grapes.

tasting note

The Asili Barbaresco is garnet red with brilliant hues. The nose has aristocratic elegance, ethereal, with notes of violet, red fruits and fine spices. The wine is complex and enchanting with silkiness of surprising length.

food pairing

Pairs well with porcini risotto, roast pork, rack of lamb.
