Sauvignon Blanc 2017
Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
The source of Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is Marlborough’s Wairau River Valley, where stony, sandy loam topsoil covers deep layers of free-draining shingle. This low-fertility soil reduces vigor, yielding lush, aromatic, ripe fruit. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, destemmed, and the free-run juice is cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Three months of aging on the lees and in stainless steel tanks provides body and complexity to the wine, before blending, fining, filtering and bottling.
The Millennial Award Show2017 vintage
San Francisco International Wine Competition2017 vintage
The 2017 vintage was marked by a cool, windy, and wet start to the season that created conditions for lower yields. As the summer in New Zealand progressed, the temperatures in February and March returned to average historical temperatures, which allowed the fruit on the vines to mature and develop. With lower yields, the Sauvignon Blanc developed lovely flavors coupled with bright acidity which will come to be known as the hallmark of this vintage.
Pale lemon straw with a green hue. Vibrant aromas of fresh lemons and limes, green apple, thai basil and a touch of floral honey. Slides across the palate seamlessly with crisp fresh fruit notes bountiful. Delightfully refreshing.
Fresh white fish, shellfish, salads and white meats.
