Grapes: 100% Albariño
At 95 meters in elevation, the 12.4-acre vineyard has 30-year-old vines in sandy and granite soils. The vines benefit from good drainage, east and west exposures, and training on high pergolas to keep the clusters dry and protect them from mildew. Indigenous wild herbs are planted among the vines for favorable drainage in the area’s wet conditions. Sustainable winegrowing is used, with organic compost; leaf and crop thinning are employed when necessary. The grapes are hand harvested and undergo a cold maceration before fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. Approximately 10% of the vintage production has undergone partial malolactic fermentation, with the purpose of providing the wine with more complexity, body and softness.
Wine & Spirits2017 vintage
The 2018 harvest was a cooler than average year with higher rainfall. The cooler temperatures allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. Harvest began later than usual, and lasted through autumn, resulting in higher yields and excellent concentration. The 2018 vintage delivered a fresh wine, with bright acidity, pronounced aromatics, and a strong character.
Straw colored with greenish hints. The nose is intense with ripe apple, white pear, and floral notes. The palate features bright citrus tones along with a tinge of fresh herbs. The wine is polished with a perfectly balanced structure.
Pairs well with seafood, fish, poultry, fresh cheese, and white meats.

Albariño is usually light, elegant and fresh, with good acidity. Quite aromatic, with peach, nectarine and floral aromas, Albariño is a late ripening, moderately cool to warm climate variety.
Today, the third generation of the family, consisting of María, Roberto Carlos, Fernando, Vanessa and Mónica Falcón, taps a blend of technology, tradition and experience to produce one of the top wines of the region.
