Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Acquired in 2012 by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, Rimapere Vineyard is situated in the prestigious Rapaura section of Marlborough. The region's fresh climate produces Sauvignon Blanc of excellent quality with crisp but balanced acidity and classic lemon and grapefruit characteristics. Hand harvested grapes macerate on the skins then undergo pneumatic pressing. After cold settling, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks at controlled temperatures between 59˚-62˚F. The wine is aged 3 months in stainless steel vats prior to bottling.
Fresh, vibrant aromas and flavors of lemon and grapefruit framed by vibrant acidity carry through on a long, refreshing finish.
Pair with grilled fish, oysters, chicken or fresh cheeses.

vineyard details +
The 26-hectare Rimapere Vineyard benefits from its ideal location in Marlborough's Rapaura region. Guyot-trained 8-10-year-old vines grow in Omaka stony silt loam soils. The soils combined with the cool climate encourage a desireable crisp acidity and lemon and grapefruit character in the finished wines that are typical of this region.
