Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc

Region: France / Burgundy / Côte de Beaune Villages

The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc is a blend of Pinot Blanc, which lends a mellow texture, and Chardonnay, which provides finesse and the potential to age. Fermentation and maturation takes place in oak barrels for a total of 15 to 17 months.

tasting note

This mellow, perfumed wine is readily approachable but will develop in the bottle for five to eight years.

food pairing

Pairs beautifully with goat cheeses as well as fish and poultry in white sauces.
