Domaine Carneros
Estate Pinot Noir
Region:
America
/ California
/ Carneros
The grapes for the Estate Pinot Noir are chosen from up to 12 clonal selections in the winery’s four certified organic estate vineyards in Carneros. After an early-morning harvest, while the grapes are still cool, the handpicked fruit is gently destemmed and cold soaked. Fermentation takes place in small, open-topped vats with punch-downs, resulting in heightened color and complex flavors. Dozens of separately vinified lots are blended to achieve the perfect expression of Carneros terroir, and the finished wine is aged in French oak barrels and in bottle prior to release.

2007 vintagetasting note
This lusciously juicy Pinot Noir is redolent with raspberry and black cherry aromas and flavors enhanced with hints of smoke and exotic spice. It is medium-bodied with bright acidity and a broad richness of even-tempered tannin that stretches into a long finish.
