Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc

Craggy Range

Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc

Region: New Zealand / Martinborough

Hailing from the western side of the Te Muna range, the grapes for this wine enjoy exposure to the afternoon sun in Martinborough, making this one of the warmer blocks in Martinborough. The well-draining soils consist of silt loam and varying levels of clay. The resulting wine has a riper, more tropical fruit profile.

tasting note

Pale lime to pale straw. Lifted citrus notes interwoven with distinctive tones of passion fruit pulp. The palate has an intriguing slatey palate that carries voluminous citrus fruit. The crunchy acidity perfectly balances the sweet varietal fruit. The finish is long and pure.

food pairing

Sashimi, bluff oysters or trout risotto
