Located beneath the Côte du Py, the Roche Noire vineyard covers 15 acres. The soil is shallow and made of volcanic rock, black schist and clay loam. After vinification, the wine is matured in oak barrels before bottling.

tasting note

The wine shows alluring aromas of smoked meat and game, and full, chewy red fruit flavors have impressive grip and notes of cherry pits.

food pairing

While young, this wine is a perfect partner for charcuterie, Italian foods and red and white meats. It will become ideal with game meats after some aging.
